Welcome to Karolina KoolBlu Koolies. This site is dedicated to our love and admiration of the Australian Koolie Breed. We are just in the beginning stages of developing this website and will strive to maintain it as often as possible.
We are proud to be the first KCA Registered Breeder of Australian Koolies in the United States. We offer many thanks and appreciation to Kerrie and Ron Challenger of Tjukurpa Kennels in Victoria Australia for their assistance in helping to select and export our first Australian registered female Koolie. Welcome to the United States Tjukurpa Kool Jill.
We also wish to thank Kerrie and the members of the Koolie Club of Australia for their help in the registration of our Foundation Stock Stud, Karolina KoolBlu Jack.

September 2008 Update
It has been a while since our last update.
Karolina KoolBlu Trooper has grown into a beautiful, strong and intelligent dog. He has shown the same strong herding instincts that both Karolina KoolBlu Jack and Tujkurpa Kool Jill have exhibited and we have enjoyed working him. Since the down turn in the economy has made owning sheep or cattle for fun too expensive we acquired a flock of White Chinese Geese for herding practice. We have truly enjoyed working all of the dogs with this hardy and often stubborn breed of geese. White Chinese Geese are often called “Swan Geese” because of their close resemblance to White Swans. They have also been considered good "watch-dogs", as they can be quite aggressive and vocal when threatened. They will protect their property with an almost predatory enthusiasm. This makes them quite a challenge to herd. We hope to have some photos up soon.

The Health of our Dogs
Our dogs have undergoing proactive testing.
While there are not any specific disorders that are linked to the Koolie breed we felt it was wise to address some potential medical problems. Testing for Hip Displaysa as well as testing for hereditary eye disorders are just a couple of the tests we performed along with additional tests that are recorded with our primary veterinarian.
While it is impossible to predict the potential problems that may occur in the future, Karolina KoolBlu Koolies strives for a level of excellence.
